4DTV: Re-Mapping
W5
The procedures below work with
most receivers. However, your receiver may be unique and may require a
"master reset" instead of a "reboot". Skyvision is not responsible for
problems that may arise as a result of attempting these suggestions.
IMPORTANT:
Regarding Model 920 receivers,
unplugging the receiver may cause memory loss and even Unit ID number
loss if the receiver battery is too old.

W5 does not appear on my program satellite
screen.
You will need to do a soft
reboot to your 4DTV. Put your receiver on G1 Channel 3. Unplug your
unit for 20 seconds,
plug it back in and let it sit, turned on, undisturbed for 20
minutes. W5 should appear in your list after that. |

W5 appears in my program satellite list but I am
unable to enter the programming screen from there. It just reverts
back to the satellite list.
Unfortunately, the only fix
for this is a master reset. A master reset, in addition to resetting
your limits, will require you to move the dish from one end of the
satellite arc to the other locating and saving satellites in certain
positions using active channels on those satellites. Basically it
will be like first taking the receiver out of the box, everything
will have been cleared. Do you know how to find the satellites to
reprogram?
- YES. Here are the
hidden menu steps to clear the memory. Press OPTIONS then
press 67787. A message will appear on your screen asking if you are
sure you want to clear the memory. If you are sure you know how to
reprogram your receiver, press ENTER on CONFIRM RESET. You will then
have to reprogram your receiver at this point.
- NO. Reprogramming your
receiver can be a difficult thing to do and you may need assistance
with this. We recommend that you talk to a technician regarding
this. Please call our tech support at 800-500-9279 for further
assistance.
